The Fact That Changed Everything: Meg Glasser and Food Forward
Food Forward does what Robin Hood may have done if his beat were fruit instead of riches: Excess fruit is distributed to the people who need them.

Volunteer Day The Watershed Project
I worked with The Watershed Project for a few hours today. Martha was in charge and she was so nice, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local planted and wildlife. Right off the bat we made a couple new four-legged friends. During the three hour time we cleaned up all the ivy that had started sneaking through the fence, pulled up weeds and cut back the dead grass. It was awesome to learn about the native rose, blackberries and grasses around the creek.
The Watershed Project is a non-profit that focuses on cleaning up and maintaining.watersheds through the Bay Area. What is a watershed? Well, its basically any area around a water source, such as a creek, that leads into a larger body of water. Most places have at least one, but a lot have been built over in really urbanized and are heavily populated. There are two in this particular area- the San Pablo Creek and Wildcat Creek.
They hold a volunteer day once a month so stay tuned and we’ll get you more information.

World hunger is an incredibly large issue throughout the world. Anything and everything we can do to help this cause will make a difference.
Check out this World Hunger Map, courtesy of the World Food Programme. It shows how important Oxfam’s work fighting global hunger really is.
We couldn’t agree more.
